HI, I have a simple question to you, before all I will try to explain,
I have an desktop aplication with the ability of sotre data in a remote sql database, this datbase is hosted by a datacenter And my DNN installation is there too.

My goal is presenting professional reports with SQL Reporting services in my DNN site, I understand that ths module can do that, but my question is,
Do I need install SQL reporting services in the same server of the DNN database? in a hosted dedicate server?

Thanks for your advice, Best Regards

All that is required is that an instance of SQL Reporting services is available and the web server can get to this. It is possible to have a web server one place, DNN database another and the SQL reporting services available somewhere else...so long as the DNN web server can see them. Hopefully this makes sense.

Good, I found a good hosting company, they offer dnn hosting, and RS hosting, can you advice to me if is ok for this solution? Can I post here the hosting company URL? or can I send it by email to avoid publish it here?

Thanks

Should work, I'd just make sure that whatever database you want to generate reports from can be reached from their servers.
