Even though I have put in the id and password(that I know work), it still asks me for it with a popup.

I just upgraded to dnn 4.4, my sql version is 2000, and my module version is 1.2

Any ideas?

Thx,
m@

yeah, we are. They're upgrading a bunch of stuff to SQL 2005, but the reportservices and some other stuff is staying on 2000.

We probably should make the note in the "Username" section bold since this is a caveat of reporting services 2000 not allowing the passthrough authentication.

We are continuing to explore ways around this constraint, I will keep you posted if / when we come out with a workaround for this. In RS 2005, this is a non-issue since microsoft built in an authentication interface.

On a side note, I highly recommned migrating to reporting services 2005, there are several new features and abilities that didn't exist in 2000.

One other thought that I did not mention earlier, as a temporary work around, you could allow anonymous access to the report server, assuming it is not accessble via the outside world (e.g. behind a router). The only requirement is your external web server would need to be able to see it to dish up the reports which would be protected via the DNN security roles assigned to point to the report server. Hopefully this makes sense. There is one other method we are exploring that only uses the web service rendering method to do this which allows authentication to be passed to it, however this can get cumbersome.
